Rabbi Moshe Shapira zt"l
Born in London, Rabbi Kahlani lived in Jerusalem with his family, studying in the Mir Yeshiva. He co-founded Kehilat Avriechim Har Nof for English-speaking families. With 17 years of studying in Yeshiva, he was a devoted student of R' Osher Arieli Shlita for 6 years in his legendary Gemara Shiur and remains a close talmid. After moving on from R' Osher's shiur, Rabbi Kahlani studied Sedarim Kodshim and Moed in a Chabura of R' Osher's graduates headed by R' Moshe Yaffen, and earned Semicha from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg zt''l. Rabbi Kahlani studied under Rabbi Moshe Shapira zt"l for over a decade until his passing, and has been a close talmid of R' Avigdor Brazil for over 20 years. He has given weekly shiurim in Mir and other yeshivot in Jerusalem. In 2019 he moved back to London to open BBM.
